Remember Blogs? Or Early Instagram? (stares wistfully into the past with longing)

Substack is a pretty great combo of both.

Once upon a time, the internet felt slower. We’d write posts, hit publish, and people would actually read them. They’d leave comments, subscribe, follow along like it mattered.

Substack is the closest thing I’ve found to that golden age of blogging and early social media. Your words go straight into your readers’ inboxes and also to a website where they live exactly like a blog. No algorithms, just you, your voice, and your people. I’ve been successfully building Earth & Verse for 18 months and I’m genuinely making money with my writing for the first time ever.

Unfortunately, Substack can be a little…confusing at first. I know it’s hard to make the leap into yet another platform, but I think it’s worth it, especially for writers and other creators.

That’s why I’m teaching a one-hour Zoom class on how to start a Substack.

Who It’s For

This class is perfect if you…

  • Want to share your writing, art, or ideas

  • Are starting from scratch (no email list required!)

  • Miss the slower, more soulful internet of the blogging days

  • Wonder how people are actually making money writing online

What We’ll Cover (in just one hour)

  • How to set up your Substack from zero

  • What to write (and how often)

  • Tips for finding your first subscribers

  • Basics of free vs. paid tiers

  • How Substack compares to social media (and why it might serve you better)

You’ll walk away with your Substack ready to launch, plus the confidence to send that first post.

Substack is growing fast — over 5 million paid subscriptions now, with more than 17,000 writers earning income. It’s proof that readers are still hungry for authentic voices, longform thoughts, and the kind of writing that lingers.

If you’ve been waiting for permission to begin, this is it.
