April, 2010 Archives

OK, loves.   I am running a free wedding (or commitment ceremony) photography contest for ONE wedding taking place in 2011.

The winner will receive:

  • 5 free hours of wedding photography coverage with the option of adding or upgrading available
  • a dvd of all edited images
  • an online slide-show to share with friends and family

Here’s how you win…you simply prove to me that your wedding is gonna be uniquely awesome in some way. See how this is really just a selfish endeavor?

Here are some ideas I just love:

  • a vintage hippie ceremony out in the woods with candles twinkling and folk music playing
  • an intimate picnic with croquet
  • barefoot on the beach with paper lanterns
  • rustic barns and horse back riding, hay rides, bonfires
  • a circus tent
  • an entirely green, organic, vegetarian ceremony
  • a chateau in Paris or an English country garden

You get the picture, right? I think you do. I am looking for something beautiful, creative, and different!

Entries are due by midnight (CST) on May 31st 2010. If your wedding is not in the Chicago area, travel fees & expenses will apply (flight, hotel, transport, etc), email me for an estimate.   The winning wedding can be anywhere!

So send me your ideas, your inspiration boards if your have em, your wedding date and venue, estimated number of guests, and a photo or 2 of the couple to me at info {@}alixklingenberg {dot} com and please put CONTEST in the subject line.

YAY! Thanks all.

Sarah & Israel got married at the Redfield Estate in Glenview, Il on maybe the most beautiful April day I’ve ever seen. Sarah made all of the details and she outdid herself as you will see. An outdoor ceremony, followed by a dinner of sushi and pizza, cupcakes, and dancing to songs like “Motown Philly,” “No Diggity,” “When I look into your eyes,” and “500 miles.” I was deliriously happy.
